made by humans

The song that i have come to sing remains unsung to this day, i kept stringing unstringing the instrument - Tagore

What makes us humans not sing our song?

What keeps us busy and we do not realize that years have passed by, or we only realize upon serendipity, adversity or unrecoverable exhaustions?

Why don’t we question “It has been always like this” or “there is no option”?

Why does it take years of unlearning and relearning to start seeing things deeply and in their intricate web of relationship with other things?

Why can there by 7 bn consumers, 7 bn employees but not 7 bn entrepreneurs?

What do we lose when we overfit “what’s in it for me?” or “vast financialization” or “un-pace-keepable technologization”?

Why should we not put our human imagination and enterprise to figure our parallel political-economic-social-self paradigm and solutions?

Why does it happen that people who want to bring change, come together but aren’t able to keep it together over longer time and many an inner and outer storms?

The journey of last 8 years has been a journey of looking at experiences, explanations and expectations in a deeper manner. Holding them in awareness. Asking the questions but not jumping to answers, albeit staying with the questions. Looking at questions behind the question. And looking at answers behind the answer.

What did we do?

Sitting down and deep listening with 1200+ humans. Who are largely known by their occupations….sewerage cleaner, sweeper, barber, cobbler, painter, plumber, electrician, elected representation, beautician, bureaucrat, academician, politician, corporate heads, entrepreneurs.

We reached out with Daily Tiny Act of a simple but human “thank you” to 190,000+ humans.

We ran a self-awareness immersive workshop for 300+ corporate executive humans + 100+ students.

We dialogued with 30+ thought and heart leaders across the world to frame the nature of experience and explanations and expectations in an interdisciplinary manner. In addition, we followed 100+ interdisciplinary thinkers over the years.

What came up for us?

Some of the core things that have come up are as follows:

  1. We live in the most complex human civilization ever. Complexity is about the non-linear web of relationship between myriad parts and the emergent dynamic properties because of their relations. There are vastly more entrepreneurs today, vastly more number of products/services, vastly bigger governments, vastly more kind of jobs, vastly more kind of financial instruments. However, most humans find themselves “stuck”. It doesn’t mean that we are imagining some kind of “utopian” vision of a no-pain life. If anything, we are thinking of creating tools and platforms for altopian life…alternative forms of living for co-habitation with different ambitions, pace.

  2. Sales/subscription to various forms of healing or wisdom has gone through the roof. Their retreat participants, number of people leaving the fast race, book sales, subscription to various gurus, etc. People are seeking … deeper answers and beyond. We also realize that this quest, this thirst is not new. If anything, then life back then thousands of years was also complex. Else one would not require voluminous document to explain aspects of life and living.

  3. There are several experiments happening around the world. These experiments are towards “humanizing” our daily life. These experiments are towards reimagining political-economic-social-self spectrum. We believe that a lot of good exists, but a lot of awkwardness or unfairnesses exist too. And we need to build upon by learning and taking forward the good.

  4. We believe that there has to be a twin move towards both the structure and the skills. Structure would be things that provide frameworks of rules, norms, incentives through political-economic-social spectrum. And skills would involve the affordance of enabling humans to realize their being and becoming in deeper ways.

  5. The popular is that we are social being. But the underlying or the unsaid is that we are also the homo economicus (rational, self-interested, agent maximizing utlities) and we are homo politicus (concerned with what’s right and assertion of it to and or through collective).

  6. We live in the highest ever tightly coupled interdependencies. And shocks in biosphere or geo or geopolitical or natural or political or economic or social spheres could precipitate badly the quality of being and becoming of millions of humans.

  7. Many humans want to work but they want to do it in ways very different than the popular. There is a need for more decentralized imagination, decision, experiments, production and consumption. That comes through creating communities.

So, what are the core tensions we are trying to solve?

Our unexamined life and current ways of political-economic-social participation is undermining individual potential and the civilization.

So, what are we intending to do?

Community living and earning.

How?

By creating online and offline ways to participate in new forms of community and earning.

By engaging humans in forms of entrepreneurship, collaborations, volunteership, consumption.

Through mechanisms of co-awareness, co-sensing, co-discovery, co-choice, co-experiment, co-activity.

Creating spaces for various phases of humans (emotional, age, body states, trauma etc) or traits (introvert, High Sensitivity Persons, etc), goals (environment, social, economic, political, civilizational etc)

What needs to be done?

Frameworks

Creating mindmaps of various aspects and their web of relation. And then creating communities around them for owning and executing.

Co-emergence of core values or principles

Go-Live-Now

While the frameworks will be worked upon, start working on on-boarding and developing on the go.

Would MBH by a for-profit or non-profit?

The core idea is to be able to define success factors and the achievement of them. The legal status of entity should be in service of the success factors.
